On March 19th, 2016, the “Shanghai. China Summit Forum on Internet Finance Innovation of Rule of Law” was successfully held in Shanghai Jiaotong University Koguan Law School. This forum was hosted by Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) Internet Finance and Law Review, organized by Financial Service& Consumer Protection Law Centre of SUFE Law School, Internet Finance Research Institute Law Centre of Zhejiang University, Think Tank Research Center of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, and Internet Finance Innovation of rule of Law Research Centre of SJTU, and supported by SORSA Research Centre. The theme of this forum is “Authenticity of Internet Finance”. The content of conference includes the orientation and development strategy of Internet Finance, the risk prevention and rule of law on Internet Finance, and signing ceremony for cooperation agreement on research of Internet Finance.
The guests who gave keynote speeches are: Song Hai, Deputy Secretary-General and Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, Vice Chairman of China Democratic National Construction Association; Sun Yuqi, Deputy Director of People’s Bank of China Financial Research Institute; Robert Wardrop, Executive Director of Cambridge University Judge Business School Emerging Finance Research Centre; Luke Deer, researcher of Cambridge University Judge Business School Emerging Finance Research Centre; Chen Long, CSO of Ant Financial; Professor Chen Hongmin from SJTU Economics and Management School; and Dai Lining, the former Director of Taiwanese Financial Department and International Consultant of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC).
After the speech is the signature of cooperation agreement as research allies. Professor Song Xiaoyan, Director of SUFE Law School Financial Service& Consumer Protection Law Centre; Professor Xu Duoqi from Shanghai Jiaotong University Koguan Law School, Professor Li Youxing from Internet Finance Research Institute Law Centre of Zhejiang University ; and Yang Yaqi, Director of Think Tank Research Center of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences signed this cooperation agreement on behalf of the four institutes. The four representatives think that Internet Finance is a kind of information technology which combines many new high-tech tools like mobile payment, social networking services, searching engine and cloud computing. It plays an important role in pushing the development of financial service. The Internet Finance accelerates the process of social and economic modernization, broadens the channel of investing and financing, and provides a platform to finally achieve equal and all-win inclusive finance. The establishment of research alliance provides a higher platform of cooperation in Internet Finance researching area.
About 1:30 pm, Professor Song Xiaoyan presided the “Internet Finance Government on the Basis of National Security” themed discuss. The Dean of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics Law School, Professor Ni Shoubin; and Professor Li Wenli also from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics Law School; Director of Shanghai University Financial Law Centre, Professor Chen Jianping; and Professor Huang Tao from Shanghai Jiaotong University Koguan Law School gave professional and deep speech respectively. Professor Wu Hong, President of Shanghai Financial Law Institute and Dean of East China University of Political Science and Law Economic Law School made wonderful comments.
