Sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Institute of Latin American studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, UNESP, Andreas Bello University and the Argentina national Cordoba University, co-organized by Cooperative innovation center of China free trade test area and Sino-Latin American Centre for legal research, the fourth high-level Sino-Latin American academic forum was held in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 26th to 27th in November.
The theme of this forum is “Construction of the community of destiny: Sino-Latin American new cooperative process”, and more than 40 scholars and experts from universities and institution in China and Latin American had academic discussion and exchange of ideas.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Zheng Shaohua, the assistant principal of Shanghai University of Finance and economics, and edited by Wang Limin, China Journal of Social Sciences executive deputy editor in chief. Fan Liming, President of the Shanghai University of Finance and economics expressed warm welcome to all the experts and scholars. Wang Lifeng, party secretary and deputy director of the Institute of Latin American studies stressed the mission for all the scholars. Brazil Sao Paulo State University professor Luis Antonio Paulino congratulate on the forum.
The forum has four session in total, "Constructing destiny community for Sino-Latin American cooperation","Economic and trade exchanges between the China and Latin America","The history and future of Sino-Latin American relations","The development of Chinese and Latin America from comparative perspective" as the theme respectively.
The first session has seven speakers in total, the focus was stressed on cooperation in clean energy, science, technology, innovation, education and infrastructure. Professors also talked about international law communication and cultural interaction. Mr Fernando Reyes Marta commented on the whole session, stated that the interaction between China and Latin America used to focus on economics and trade, and the communication was extended to environmental and educational cooperation now.
The second session mentioned several economic and trade interaction. The speeches including “Building the new global financial system of China and the BRIC countries”, “Cooperation between China and Latin America from international law perspective”, “Study on the lending behavior of commercial bank supervision under the constraint of the deposit loan ratio”, and so on.
The third session puts forward the “sensitivity”, “the overall cooperation”and “balance” in the Latin American relations characteristics and development process and direction of the embodiment. Western power was to applied a lot to create balance, e.g. the balance power of the United States.
The last session mentioned that Latin America should better absorb China's thought on equity and balance during its development of civilization. Latin America society is still in the development stage, so the society need to think from the philosophy of the relationship between the citizen and the state as the starting point of the analysis, keep social media from political manipulation.
Li Xuerao, Dean of Shufe law school, held the closing ceremony, and expressed thanks to contacts Lifang and An Lei from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Journal, law school conference staff Wu Wenfang Professor, Fu Yan teacher and team members, and thanks from the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Spanish interpreter Ni, Yao Wenmin, and announced the forum successfully concluded.
