At the afternoon of March 17th, the second lecture of 2015 Foreign Legal Forum was successfully held in meeting room of the third floor in Executive Building, Professor Astrid Stadler from Konstanz University, famous specialist in civil law and civil procedure law, was invited to deliver the lecture named “Comparing in consumer rights and interests law of China and Germany”. The lecture was hosted by Professor Zhu Xiaozhe from SHUFE Law.
Professor Astrid Stadler started the lecture with the “Sanlu Milk Powder” event in China and brought up the significance of protecting consumers’ rights and interests. First of all, Professor Astrid Stadler introduced the development and features of China’s consumer rights and interests. She then summarized the development and features of EU’s related laws and regulations. Professor Stadler made a deep and thorough analysis of consumer rights and interests laws of China and Germany.
During the final section of the lecture, Professor Astrid answered the students’ questions patiently. Her solid theoretical foundation and rich practical experience admirably impressed the students present. The lecture came to the end successfully in warm applause.
