On October 23, 2014, under the organization of the Students’ Union of SHUFE Law School, a salon was held to discuss some civil procedure problems.
After seeking the facts of several cases that the attendants had audited in the Shanghai NO.1 Intermediate People Court,Lecturer Chen started to inspire students and ask some questions. Some of them felt puzzled about what elements were required to form a valid contract. Some students wanted to know what responsibility the default party should take. The respected Lecturer Chen answered each question one by one and explained the laws and regulations. She also set forth her explanations through a lot of examples.
During the salon, some students also asked questions about China’s judicial system. It was a very hot discussion, and some of them even argued with each other.
After the explanation of the Lecturer Chen, many students said they have learned more about how a civil trial would carry on. Students attending the salon all thanked the respected Lecturer Chen for coming to the salon and tookpictures together.
