SHUFE: A visit to Baoshan Martyr’s Cemetery

On the date of September 30th, the first memorial day of the People’s Republic of China, all Communists, probationary members and activists from Party Schools of International Business Administration, Finance, Public Economics and Administration and Economics, leading by law school, SHUFE, with the assistance of Humanities, took part in visiting the Baoshan Martyr’s Cemetery, in honor of the revolutionary martyrs so as to arouse our patriotism and promote our spiritual civilization.

All participants arrived at Baoshan Martyr’s Cemetery on time at 2 p.m.，led by the teachers and cemetery workers, all students respectfully listened to the National Anthem and The Internationale, laid wreathes at the graves and showed their grief solemnly. Speeches by both teachers’ and students’ representatives were then delivered to express the deepest respect and gratitude. Afterwards, the students paid their visit to the mausoleum and the memorial hall of the Martyrs, during which more details of the revolution heroes were disclosed. These Chinese gallant people sacrificed their lives in pursuit of the people’s brighter future which was again disinterred from the visit and guidance. When faced with the destined sacrifice for their pursuit of revolution, some of them did not reach 20, some of them deceased without a simple picture, some of them even left heroically without leaving us a name to recall. Every second in the martyr’s cemetery deepened visitors’ impression. And every bit of our sweet life today is constructed on the basis of their blood and sweat. “Eternal glory to the people's heroes”, “Those who sacrificed for revolution will live in people’s hearts instead,” the martyrs will live on forever in our memory. We came with our grief in mind, we left with our intense patriotism inspired by the martyrs of eternity, together, with our utmost gratitude to everyone who sacrificed for the revolution.

Recounting our visit to the Cemetery, such an activity not only reminded us of the heroes in history of the eventful years, but also armed us with stronger determination to follow The Chinese Communist Party.
