On September24, 2014, Dr Liu Jinyunfrom the University of Michigan made a lecture for the teachers and students SHUFE Law School, as a titled "The comparison of the American and the Chinese labor dispute processing system" which was hosted by Professor Wang Quanxing, and Lecturer Wu Wenfang also participated.

In this lecture, Dr.Liu Jinyunmade a superficially simple but essential comparison between the American and Chinese labor dispute processing mechanismwith the specific cases.Liu pointed out that the United States labor arbitration has privatepropertyand 99% of the labor arbitration has the final effect, while the mediation is always government-led. In contrast, Chinese labor arbitration is the government-led, and quite a part of the arbitral award can’t terminate the suit effectively, while the mediation is given priority to civil mediation in China.

In the end of the lecture, Liu had a nice communication about the American and Chinese labor relationship with teachers and studentstaking the form of interaction. The students had a further understanding about Liu’s theory and viewpoint. The lecture ended in the teachers and students’applause.
