On 28 September, 2014, the Seventh Lecture 2014 Economic and Financial Law Forum was held successfully in SHUFE Law. Professor Cai Shouqiu, Distinguished Professor of SHUFE Law School, president of China Association for Environment and Resources Law, Professor Cai Shouqiu, with his latest theory and finding, delivered his lecture named “Jurisprudence based on ecological civilization” to teachers and students from SHUFE Law School. It was the first time that Professor Cai delivered lecture in SHUFE after he joined SHUFE Law School. Party branch secretary of SHUFE Law School, Associate Professor Zhou Jiepu of SHUFE Law School presided over the lecture.
Professor Cai, who was in his late 60s, was very amiable. He put forward an idea about law-ethics from a new perspective which came from world outlook, epistemology, methodology and paradigm. In the past 30 years, Professor Cai worked very hard and explored continuously in sphere of law. He also by widely absorbed the internal and external advanced theories. Through his continuous effort, Professor Cai built the foundation of based on ecological civilization. The jurisprudence trilogy he wrote attracted widely attention around the country. During the lecture, Professor Cai Shouqiu explained how to make the communal facilities be used to subject to both morality and law in detail. There were no laws and regulations about the protection of communal facilities. What Professor Cai put forward was the positive suggestion for the problem.
Towards the end of his lecture, Professor Cai interacted with students by answering questions raised deepening their understanding of his opinions and theories. At the end of the lecture, Associate Professor Zhou Jiepu concluded the lecture succinctly. The lecture ended in warm applause of all teachers and students attending.
