On May 23^rd, 2014, Student’s Union of SHUFE Law School heldits summary conference and election in the lecture hall on the first floor of the administration building. Attendants include China’s Communist Party(CCP) Deputy Secretary of SHUFE Law School Zhou Yan, Communist Youth League(CYL)  of Law School Secretary and Tutor Wang Yun,  as well as  the first group members of the Student’s Union presidium of SHUFE Law School. Special Guests includes SHUFE CYL assistant Du Peng, SHUFE Community Union Chairman Zhang Rong, CYL Deputy Secretary of School of Mathematics Bai Zhuo, CYL Deputy Secretary of School of Humanities Wang Biying as well as president of SHUFE Law Society.

Through a summary video, the conference first reviewed the outstanding performance of Law School Student’s Union in various activities, showing the fruitful achievements gained in literature and art, sports, academics and so on. Followed by the video is the speech given respectively by Chen Sicong, the first Chairman Law School Student’s Union, and Huo Xin, the first Deputy Secretary of Law School Student’s Federation .Their speeches summarized the achievement and shortcomings of the Student’s Federation in the past year and expressed sincere expectations to the new Student’s Federation.

Subsequently, the election started officially. The election was mainly divided into 3 rounds. In the first round, the host gave a brief introduction of each candidate. In the second round, candidates went onto the stage giving their speech one by one, some of which aroused laughter while some provoked thinking. In the Q&A round, candidates answered the questions raised by teachers and students, showing their strain capacity and ambitions. At last, a new presidium was elected by the conference through secret ballot: Chairman Zhan Hongkun, Deputy Secretary Tian Yuyang, Vice Chairman Jin Qianqian, Liu xu and Zhang Ziwei.

Under the correct leadership of SHUFE Law School CCP and YLC, the first Student’s Federation gave full play of our law school features and made great breakthroughs in various fields, contributing a lot to the development of law school students in the past year. All candidates showed great enthusiasm and talent as new members of Student’s Federation presidium in the general election. Despite all the achievements and success already gained, the new presidium will continue cooperating and coordinating with each other, making a brighter future for the SHUFE Law School.
