On June 13, 2014, the opening ceremony of SHUFE Free Trade & ADR Development Research Centre was held in the meeting room, 5th floor of Executive Building. Leaders and guests attended the opening ceremony including Vice President of SHUFE, Professor Zhou Zhongfei, Dean of SHUFE Law, Executive Vice President of Graduate School, Professor Zhen Shaohua, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Wen Wanli, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Huang Wen, President of Seminar on Arbitration Law of Shanghai Law Society, Fang Xiong, Research Director of Shanghai First Intermediate Court, Liu Yanhao and many other domestic and foreign well-known scholars, arbitrators and lawyers.

 



 

The opening ceremony hosted by Vice Dean of SHUFE Law, Director of Free Trade & ADR Development Research Centre, Professor Ma Hong. Vice President of SHUFE, Professor Zhou Zhongfei welcomed the guests on behalf of SHUFE Law. Wen Wanli, Liu Yanhao and Omar Puertas, the committee member of American Bar Association China Committee, the senior partner of Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira Shanghai  office, delivered their speeches separately at the opening ceremony. Mr. Wen Wanli and Professor Zhen Shaohua unveiled the center together. At the seminar, the foreign expert, the senior partner of Mannheimer Swartling, Oliver Schulte, Law School of Shanghai University, Associate Professor Shi Changqing, Executive Director of Free Trade & ADR Development Research Centre, Doctor Shang Shu delivered their speeches separately. Vice President of Shanghai University ADR and Arbitration Research Institute, Professor Qu Kun, Director of LL.M. Program, Koguan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Xu Xiaobing, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Huang Wen made review and discussion on the new dispute settlement system caused by free trade. Professor Zhen Shaohua hosted the closing ceremony and made the concluding remarks.

 



 



 

SHUFE Free Trade & ADR Development Research Centre will cooperate with the local judicial organs and the arbitration departments and further facilitate domestic and overseas free trade as well as ADR scholarly communication, so it can provide a regularly intercommunion platform for specialists and scholars both in the academic circles and the judicial circles of free trade and ADR. It will also offer practical chances for students learn more about free trade and ADR.
