On April 29, 2014, Judiciary Forum on Chinese Free Trade Zone as well as System Construction and the Judicial Safeguard Seminar on China (Shanghai) Free Trade Zone were Held in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The meeting was jointly organized by civil trial chamber 4 of Supreme People's Court, Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Participants of the forum and seminar are : Dean Cui Yadong from Shanghai Higher People's Court, Chief Judge Luo Dongchuan of civil trail chamber 4 from the Supreme People's Court , Committee Director Shen Zhixian from Internal and Judicial Affairs Committee under the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress , Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean Sheng Yongqiang of Shanghai Higher People's Court, Dean Chen Libin from Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court, Party Secretary and Professor Cong Shuhai from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Vice President Zhou Zhongfei of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics etc. More than 140 people attended the forum and seminar including experts and scholars from practical departments and universities as well as guests of the news media.

Vice Dean Zhou Zanhua from the Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court presided over the opening ceremony of the forum. At the beginning, he read letter of congratulation from He Rong, the Vice Dean of the Supreme People's Court. He Rong highly praised the research and practice brought by the cross-border cooperation between Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court, encouraging all participants to come up with new and better ideas and play their respective advantages in a thoroughgoing and free way in accelerating the development of Shanghai Free Trade Zone. Then Dean Cui Yadong from Shanghai Higher People's Court, Chief Judge Luo Dongchuan of civil trail chamber 4 from the Supreme People's Court, Dean Chen Libin from Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court, Party Secretary and Professor Cong Shuhai from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics delivered their speech one by one. Party Secretary and Professor Cong Shuhai pointed out:great importance has been attached to the forum by the Supreme People's Court and the Superiors in the High Court of Shanghai, which not only indicates that the cooperation conforms to the national and local major strategic requirements but also affirms the great advances in recent years in major of law and the intellectual support jointly provided by school of law and practical departments for the benign operation of free trade zone. At the end of his speech, he wished a consummate success of the forum.
