On Feb 17^th, 2014, Professor Zheng Shaohua,  Executive Vice President of the SHUFE Graduate School and Law School Dean, led SHUFE Law faculty and students to Shanghai Municipal First Intermediate People's Court for attending the research project promotion meeting discussing the FTA applicable legal problems. 


            

Dean Professor Zheng Shaohua  firstly introduced the general information of FTA applicable legal problems research project and showed his gratefulness to Shanghai First Intermediate People's Court because of their support. Shanghai Municipal First Intermediate People's Court and SHUFE Law  have been cooperating for many years, and the two sides have forged a profound friendship in the long-term cooperation, working together to carry out this legal application FTA research project is to further developing the cooperation model. Dean stressed that in process of the study, in order to produce high-quality research achievement, we must consider the following three issues: Firstly, will the study be helpful to the analysis and judgment of the similar case in the future? Secondly, Shanghai FTA is in the process of drafting regulations now, is the result of study useful to the drafting? Thirdly, is the study valuable to the judicial interpretation of Supreme People’s Court? At the same time, Dean proposed following four points: Firstly, we must pay more attention on it, making progress and improving quality. Secondly, strengthening the field research and broadening the literature search is necessary. Thirdly, keeping in touch with the instructor in the intermediate people’s court is important. Fourthly, the study should come up withmeasures to counter problems in FTZ.
 

At last, the study supervisor and project leader reported the basic information of each topic, research result, difficulties and following study plans. School supervisors and the first intermediate people’s court supervisor had a lively group discussion in the end.
