On December 5, 2013, the “2013 International Conference of Comparative Commercial Law” was held successfully by SHUFE Law and Monash University. The conference was co-hosted by Professor Ma Hong, Deputy Dean of SHUFE Law, and Professor Krever, Director of Commercial Law and Tax Department of Monash University. The participants had a heated discussion about corporate law, tax, environmental law, legal theory, financing law, labor law and made comprehensive and systematic exploration of different legal systems of two countries as well on the one-day meeting.

Ten young scholars from SHUFE Law and eight scholars from Commercial Law and Tax Department of Monash University attended the conference which provides a communication platform for both institutions, and lays the foundation for future cooperation.

According to the cooperation agreement between SHUFE Law & Commercial Law and Tax Department of Monash University, the similar conference will be held once a year to promote academic development of comparative law.
