National LEC test will be held on November 30, 2013. How to take the test.

Legal English Certificate (LEC) test is the first nationally unified exam to assess proficiency in test takers’ reading, writing, translating and comprehension of legal terminology and concepts across American law practices. In doing so, LEC Test displays some characteristics of the American Bar Exam. It provides American and Chinese government agencies, law firms and multinational corporations an objective weighing standard to seek qualified human resources.

National Legal English Certificate Test Advisory Committee supported by Beijing Foreign Studies University and China University of Political Science and Law is in charge of organizing the test. LEC test is administered twice a year, both on the last Saturdays of May and November. Testing eligibility is not limited to age, degree or profession. Proper identification is required upon registration.
