Jessup SHUFE had an exciting and wonderful activity in room 215 of No.2 Teaching Building (2215) on May 5, 2013.

It was the 8th meeting of Jessup SHUFE. And with the interesting activities and renowned guests, Jessup SHUFE is enjoying an increasingly popularity among students, both undergraduates and postgraduates.

This meeting greeted, at the beginning, Stephen C. Frye, a LL.M. Lecturer of SHUFE law specializing in International Commercial Law. He gave a wonderful lecture on “How to Write a Memo”. It is very necessary for every Jessup participant to learn how to write a good memo and it is very useful for law school students. Steve emphasized that the most important thing of a memo is to know who your audience is and who you are writing to. A memo is usually for the jury and the Judges, so you should keep it concise and precise. Facts and the rule of law are always the focus. He also introduced the process and tips for writing a memo. All the students learned a lot from the lecture.

The second part of this meeting was film dubbing. All the members were divided into 3 big groups for 3 different types of movie, namely Ice Age 2, The King’s Speech and Pride and Prejudice. They had to imitate the sound of each character. Members all did a very good job in this part and knew how to express themselves.

The rewarding meeting ended in a happy and amicable atmosphere. With their great endeavor and passion, everyone should believe that Jessup SHUFE will do better in the future.
