On April 13th, 2013, the 11th Salon of Precedent Research, held by SHUFE Law in the administrative building, gathered legal practitioners, academics and journalists from all over the country.

The Salon began with the opening ceremony hosted by Professor Wang Quanxin, where he briefly introduced the status quo of SHUFE Law. Then Song Hualin from Nankai University gave an overall review on the last Salon.

Lasting a whole day, the Salon consisted of 8 themes, namely, the operation and actual influences of precedent in China, the goal and method of China’s precedent guiding system, the judicial protection for the right of equality, an analysis into the forfeited usage of credit card and bank deposit cases, the basic structure and effect of precedents with universities involved, the applicable range of the hearing procedure on administrative punishment, a research into the forth and twelfth guiding precedent, as well as another one into the fourteenth.

At the end of the Salon, a closing ceremony hosted by Xu Jian from SHUFE Law was observed, where several jurists from distinguished Chinese law schools made their conclusions, with Professor Ma Hong addressing the closing statements.
