On the evening of March 19th, the Jessup warming up meeting was held in the meeting room at SHUFE Law. Hosted and organized by A/Professor Tang Guanghong, the meeting was joined by many potential SHUFE Law Jessupers, some of whom were undergraduates and some were postgraduates. They all have one thing in common that they are passionate about Jessup, the International Law Moot Court Competition.
During the meeting, everyone firstly gave a self introduction in a relaxed and humorous way and then postgraduates who attended the 2013 Jessup shared their experience about the competition. Following that, A/Professor Tang suggested the Jessup Club to be founded, which would be an open club for all students who are interested in this competition. The final selection of the 2014 Jessup team members is going to be held by June 2013, but all club members will still have free access to the training courses. This proposal put forward by Tang was passed by a unanimous vote.
After a round of hot discussion about how to improve ourselves and how to run this club, the attendees drew up a constitution for this club and set up a committee. This club was established with the hope that SHUFE Law Jessup team will be stronger and the Jessup spirit be passed on and on.
