On March 11th, 2013, SHUFE Law observed the grand opening of the 2013 annual seminar on the Law for Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests of Shanghai Law society. At the seminar, Professor Li Guoguang, former Vice President of the Supreme People's Court and Honorary President of the Chinese Law society on the Law for Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests, together with Mrs. Zhao Jiaoli, Deputy Director of Shanghai Consumers' Rights Protection Committee, launched the Shanghai Legal Consultation Hotline for Consumer Rights and Interests.


The taking of Shanghai Legal Consultation Hotline for Consumer Rights and Interests is a major act of SHUFE Law, as one of the first National Excellent Legal Talent Training Bases, to implement the Plan of Excellent Legal Talent Training launched by the Ministry of Education and CPC Judicial and Law Enforcement Committee. This act aims at motivating students to engage in the practice of law and to make contribution to the community, as well as promoting their sense of responsibility as a law student. The staff of this hotline consists of student volunteers of SHUFE and full/part time teachers of related field on/off campus. This hotline is now available for consultation to Shanghai consumers, on which free legal services are provided by the staff of SHUFE Legal Aid Centre. The number of this hotline is 65904569
